I endured all 4 hours of the Oscars, though I wasn’t curious enough to do so live (which would have meant getting up at 2AM!) and good thing that because that way, I could fast forward through all eleven Oscars for LotR3. Sure it’s not a bad movie, but making movies isn’t about delegating some 20,000 ppl which seems to me is why Peter Jackson got the Academy Award for in the first place. Thankfully there are only three parts of LotR, I strongly hope there will be more diversity next year. Funny bits were Billy Chrystal as always and Jack Black’s & Will Ferrell’s “You are boring” lyrics, I almost rofled when I heard them. Charlize Theron being moved to tears didn’t make sense to me until a day later when I read in a newspaper what she had meant when she thanked her mother for everything she has done – including, apparently, shooting Charlize’s father in self-defense because he had tried to shoot his daughter. Mamma mia :o !
