Guess what I’m listening to right now – oh yes, BH *nods* :D ! I’m currently stuck on the title track after being stuck on CFQ all afternoon – hell, this album is great! Even the feared collaboration with LBM turned out to be great, it suits the song very well and in fact I believe it could have gotten a bit boring with the word “borrowed” being repeated at least 24 times… the African vibe saves BH from getting tedious. However, unfortunately nothing saves TEFT from becoming tedious especially towards the end. Oh well, that’s one song from 12 I’m going to skip but the rest – the rest was worth every single second of the last four years to wait for! I’m so happy now :) !

First movie of the week: “Der Wixxer”. If you know “Der Schuh des Manitu”, then you know what to expect – some really good jokes (like “Rest in pieces” on the tombstone of Rather Short), some really bad jokes (like calling a character “Drycunt”, Alotta Vagina anyone?), some mediocre ones in between (like the two sons blowing up the pug) and some scenes where you can only shake your head but have to laugh anyway (like Even Longer trying to revive the charred body of Short and his head falling off). Even the butler called Hetler and soap star Tanja Wenzel as the female lead were enjoyable, whereas the scenes with Olli Dietrich and Anke Engelke came across as a bit arbitrary. Cudos to the writers for spoofing as many movies as possible and while on the way, everything and everybody else though I’m sure many references are only understood by German viewers. All in all, very entertaining – I was laughing really hard: 4 out of 6 Meeps – good.
