Movie of the week: “Fahrenheit 9/11″. SPOILERS!
Probably a bit too polemic and sometimes a real tearjerker, but still shocking enough. However one has the slight suspicion Moore intentionally lingers too long on some scenes like the mother of the dead soldier reading his last letter to make his point – sure it’s heartbreaking to hear and see her very real grief over the loss but it feels intrusive to be so close. What he succeeds royally at is making Bush look like the idiot he is – there was more than once when I thought I’d like to strangle this dumb, arrogant and totally incompetent person that incidentally is the most powerful man on earth. I really hope people use their brains once in a while and put this guy back where he came from: to Texas where he can spend his time ruining oil firms. 4 out of 6 Meeps – good.
