Say What You Need To Say
I recently caught a random episode of “Lost” on TV and thought maybe it was worth a closer look. A 9-episode-marathon later…
Just in case you hadn’t heard of “Lost”, either: it’s about a group of people who are stranded on an uninhabited (?) island somewhere in the Pacific ocean after a plane crash. Not only do they have to fight for their survival among themselves, but the island itself harbors some dark secrets as well…
At first I thought this was yet another reincarnation of the old plot “Dinosaurs survived on a remote island” but I’m quite happy with the way the earth-shaking creatures are handled so far. The focus is more on the conflicts between the survivors – and some very interesting constellations have developed already -, with just the right mixture of unexplained events to keep the viewers hooked.
If it seems the stories to be told are limited, creator J.J. Abrams of “Alias” fame has some very clever surprises in store for you. Due to the spoilery nature of even the most general of episode descriptions, it’s a good idea to simply go watch without further ado
!
One thing has to be noted, though: I hate that sorry excuse of opening credits with a passion :wtf:. It’s not mysterious, it’s just annoying!
Well, maybe two things
: among the good-looking cast I’ve grown especially fond of Evangeline Lilly (she reminds me of someone, I just don’t know who…):

And no, she’s not the only reason I’m watching this. But a major one
