I Need to Believe
…that this is actually a good idea. The trailer for the upcoming second X-Files movie “I want to believe” however, makes things a little hard in that department: is it just me or does this not seem particularly cutting edge?
Some rather random remarks about the trailer:
- David Duchovny still hasn’t improved his acting skills. Quit the mumbling already!
- Flashlights, check.
- What’s up with Gillian Anderson’s hair? Where did the sensible Scully haircut go?
- Xzibit? O rly?
- Again with the (almost) kissing - that’s not tension, that is blunt force trauma
I have the theory that “The X-Files” have been ground-breaking in the 1990s but have outlived themselves by now - it’s all been done, it’s all been seen, it’s nothing new. Let’s only hope there are enough people still left willing to give it a chance for old times’ sake!
