Say What You Need To Say
Worrying news about one of my favourite shows, “Ugly Betty”: it seems the broadcasting channel ABC will ‘bench’ it in favour for some sitcoms and return it at some unspecified date.
Not that the choice of the word ‘bench’ alone is making all alarm bells ring, the prospect of not knowing when “Ugly Betty” will be back sounds like all ABC is waiting for is a good opportunity to give it the boot – because frankly, which show will garner good ratings after it’s been off the air for about 3 to 4 months?
On that note – what the hell is wrong with ABC? “Ugly Betty” is enormously popular with critics and viewers alike, and one of the few shows around with well-developed characters and on-going storylines that I actually care about. Cancel that and ABC is officially dead for me.
