Say What You Need To Say
Because this awesome man is not only the creative mind behind “Nip/Tuck” and “Popular” but because he keeps on coming up with brilliant TV shows: evidence of this is “Glee” which, just judging by the trailer below, I will totally love! (What’s not to love when Jane Lynch is involved, really?)
While “Nip/Tuck” may have jumped the shark a while ago (about the time I stopped watching in season 3 I’d say) and “Popular” didn’t make it to more than two seasons, they are both special because they feature complex, edgy characters, are stylish and permeated with a very refreshing sense of humour (bordering on the silly, just the way I like it). The awesomeness that was “Popular” cannot really be described – you have to catch a few episodes to fully appreciate the whacky cosmos of feuding stepsisters, evil bitch Nicole with her mildly psychotic henchwoman Mary Cherry, characters called April Tuna, transsexual teachers and musicals about STDs. God, I love Ryan Murphy!
Plus there is the hot Carly Pope on the show who popped up on “24″ this season completely unsuspectedly – shame she was already murdered…
Now I’m really excited about “Glee”, and to pass the time until the debut in May, I think I will catch up with a few seasons of “Popular” – highschool, here I come!
