I had the pleasure to watch “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” yesterday night, and I can only recommend it.

In my opinion, this is the best of the Harry Potter movies since “The Chamber of Secrets” and, looking brilliantly, making the best of cutting down the elaborate book. Almost all of the backstory about the half blood prince is missing, but only in a few places transitions felt rough or confusing (unfortunately, among them the very abrupt ending). The actors all did a splendid job, especially the trinity of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. I was also very impressed with Jim Broadbent as Professor Slughorn, and the young Tom Riddle (scary in a very chilly, effective way).

5 out of 6 Meeps – excellent!
