Say What You Need To Say
Or: How to make a bloody awesome video when you’re Lady Gaga with BeyoncĂ© in tow: “Telephone”!
Okay, the video is bat-sh*t crazy, but the song is supercatchy: “Mr Understanding” by Pete and the Pirates (neat bandname, too!).
Sounding like a strange mixture of Amy Winehouse and Duffy and yet different, this is Paloma Faith with her upbeat single “Upside down” (taken from the album “Do you want the truth or something beautiful”, and don’t you just love the title?):
Ellie Goulding with “Starry Eyed”
I’m usually not a big fan of Tegan & Sara, but their joint effort with Tiësto called “Feel it in my bones” sounds fantastic!
Fun in the sense that they have a kickass song to go with and lots of humour derived from awkward teenagers – et voilĂ , you’ve got the funny video for Sia’s “You’ve changed”. I’m looking very much forward to the album!
I first noticed her as Galinda in the “Wicked” musical, and then I absolutely adored her on “Pushing Daisies”. Now she will be on “Glee” and could this be more perfect? She’s also crazy talented and amazing opera singer, as you can marvel at below:
La Roux with “In For The Kill”
The Dø with “On My Shoulder” (Cute girl, too )
Grizzly Bear with “Two Weeks”. Enjoy!
I have first stumbled upon Daniel Merriweather on Mark Ronson’s “Version” album (the “Stop Me”-Medley”, to be exact). Now he has released his first album which reminds me favourably of Ronson’s style while maintaining his own artistic voice. Favourites so far include the really blues-y “For Your Money”, “Change” and the cool duet with Adele [...]
Very good for chilling out: Dusty Kid with “Nemur”
