With the release of Andrea Corr’s solo album “Ten Feet High” just a few weeks away (June 18th, yay ), the video for her first single “Shame on you (to keep my love from me)” has been put up on MySpace:

After having been announced for January, Andrea Corr’s solo album now seems to have a release date on June 18th, 2007 in Europe. It also has a “new” name: instead of the rather generic “Present”, it was revealed it will be called “Ten Feet High” (any aspirations, Andrea ?). I’ll take everything back I [...]

Time to confess

You could say I’ve been a Madonna fan in disguise so far: I liked “Confessions on a dancefloor” and some of her other stuff, but I’ve never been religiously devoted to Mrs. Ritchie. However, having seen “The Confessions Tour” on DVD just now, I might convert… because this show is freaking amazing! Check out her [...]

He looks a bit like the lovechild of Chris Martin and Monty Python’s Eric Idle, but what really makes you notice him is his incredible voice: James Morrison may only be 21, however he sounds like he has already spent quite some time boozing and smoking a least 60 cigarettes a day. And that’s a [...]

Once a saint…

…always a sinner . As welcomed by me before, the All Saints are back! It took them five long years to finally return to the studio and bring us their new CD “Studio 1″. At first I wasn’t really impressed by the album, except for the lead single “Rock Steady”, but after listening to [...]

The Same Side

Lucie Silvas is mainly known for her killer song “What you’re made of”, and her debut album “Breathe In” showed how talented a song writer and singer she really is. It took some time, but now the successor “The Same Side” is scheduled for release.

Is that an egg?

The Award For Most Bizarre Props In A Music Video goes, without much doubt, to Lucie Silvas and “It’s too late”. I won’t even start to think about the reason she’s rolling that egg around :dizzy:… See for yourself:

Of corrs

It’s actually a bit mad – there are months and months with no Corrs news at all, and then all of a sudden, everything happens at once:

John Mayer’s third (or fourth, depending on what you count in) studio album “Continuum” manages to sound a lot like him and yet also very different.

I love the song, but the video is kind of eh : Nelly Furtado with “Say It Right”.

Despite my rant from a few days ago, I have managed to get my hands on the mentioned bonus tracks. They’re called “Goodbye (Demo version)” and “Pebble in the Brook”.

While sifting through lots of movies that may or may not be suitable for our next GLBT film festival, I’ve come across “Reefer madness”. It’s a hilarious movie based on an Off-Broadway musical, which in turn is based on an old movie (aka “Tell your children”) from the 1930s supposed to demonstrate the dangers of [...]

“Cold Case” is a highly successful show about Det. Lily Rush and her team of investigators who concentrate on crimes long unsolved (now in its fourth season on sundays, CBS). She re-opens the cases and tries to find new clues to murders from up to 70 years ago. Lots of the story is told in [...]

It appears the Corrs’ record company has finally, after a long and painfully slow struggle, decided to use this groovy new thing called “The Internet” to promote and sell the group’s music. However, they are doing a tremendously bad job: denying willing buyers the opportunity to purchase the product can hardly be called brilliant.

Every time the Corrs release a new single, no matter if I like the song or approve of the choice, I suggest it to various radio stations, one of them being SWR3 (biggest here in Southern Germany). I don’t expect much but I figure it can’t hurt, and so I did it for “Goodbye (2006 [...]
