The 2008 Eurovision Song Contest is over. Time for the recap of the big finale from Belgrade!
To be honest, I have no idea that “The Tudors” is about as I have never watched it - my half-forgotten history lessons and a look at the website make me think I’m not very wrong in assuming England, kings, wives, beheadings, intrigue, sex and violence - fun, really!
I may have been a bit early, but hey, now I am right: Poppy Montgomery is pregnant.
I’m happy to report that one of my favorite actresses, Eliza Dushku, has landed a leading role on Joss Whedon’s new sci-fi show called “Dollhouse” (to be seen on Fox next fall; 7 episodes have been ordered). While everybody else seems to be more squealing about Joss Whedon’s involvement in this - after all, he’s the creator of Buffy, Angel and Firefly - I have to say I’m far more interested in Eliza Dushku :P! I sat through most of “Tru Calling” and if memory serves right, I also endured “Wrong Turn”; I actually enjoyed “Bring it on” and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”, so of course I’ll take a look at “Dollhouse”!

Sadly, Loriot’s partner in crime, Evelyn Hamann, a very popular German actress and comedienne, has passed away on Monday. In memoriam her great talent, have the “Die 2 Cousinen” clip (even if you aren’t German, give it a try, it’s fantastic).
Spreading the Ugly Betty love!

The wonders of YouTube make it possible for me to finally take a closer look at something I have only read about so far: “All my children”’s lesbian storyline, centering around Bianca (Eden Riegel).
It’s been a few weeks since FX’s new hyped show “Dirt” has premiered, and the main reason I have been looking forward to it was Carly Pope. The show itself is okay but nowhere as good as other FX offerings like “Nip/Tuck”. Courtney Cox does a good job at portraying bitchy editor Lucy Spiller and the stories are surprisingly interwoven for just four episodes, so maybe “Dirt” has a chance to finish its first season after all. If it’s lucky, it may even get renewed - and I’m all for it if Carly Pope is in it ;). Here are a few clips of her stint as lesbian drug dealer Garbo:
…or The Gay Slur That Just Wouldn’t Die - Isaiah Washington made things a lot worse when he referred to this whole mess yet again at the Golden Globes. And outright denied he ever called his co-star T.R. Knight a “faggot”, which in turn caused Knight to set things right at the Ellen DeGeneres show:
