It’s been a while (in fact, it was June) when the Corrs’ lead singer Andrea Corr released her solo album “Ten Feet High” on to the unsuspecting and largely uninterested public. I listened to it for quite a while and “Stupidest girl in the world” has become a memory song (trip to London), so of course I’ll have to give you a detailed review of her debut CD!
Lucie Silvas is mainly known for her killer song “What you’re made of”, and her debut album “Breathe In” showed how talented a song writer and singer she really is. It took some time, but now the successor “The Same Side” is scheduled for release.
It sure sounds like Mr. Williams had a lot of fun while recording this album - however I’m not so sure the listener’s pleasure will be just as great ;).
As you may or may not know ;), I’ve been a fan of British group “All Saints” and own all their albums (yes, all two of them :P). They more or less officially split in 2001, but now they are back!
Lots of confusion over “Dreams: The ultimate Corrs collection” - rightly so?
In a recent radio interview to raise awareness for World Sight Day, Jim Corr has mentioned the possibility of a new Corrs album still this year, also dropping names like the Chieftains, Bono and Ronnie Wood as collaborators.
While I’m certainly excited, I’m also a bit hesitant to believe that time frame. First of all, he only mentioned the possibility - nothing certain yet. Secondly, they are way too late for the profitable Christmas season (again). Thirdly, most likely Andrea will be busy promoting her solo album when it is released early 2007, and I seriously doubt she would endeavour this with a new Corrs record in the wings. On the bright side, the Corrs haven’t split up and are in the process of writing new songs, so I’m sure I can wait a little bit longer for it :).
Live descends into mediocrity with their latest album “Songs from Black Mountain”
