It’s been a while (in fact, it was June) when the Corrs’ lead singer Andrea Corr released her solo album “Ten Feet High” on to the unsuspecting and largely uninterested public. I listened to it for quite a while and “Stupidest girl in the world” has become a memory song (trip to London), so of course I’ll have to give you a detailed review of her debut CD!

After having been announced for January, Andrea Corr’s solo album now seems to have a release date on June 18th, 2007 in Europe. It also has a “new” name: instead of the rather generic “Present”, it was revealed it will be called “Ten Feet High” (any aspirations, Andrea :P?). I’ll take everything back I said about not caring, I want this album right now!

It appears as if “Broken Thread”, starring the lovely Andrea Corr, will be shown at the Berlin Film Festival aka Berlinale! At least that’s what the schedule says, however I’m a bit bummed it’s not a public screening :(. Not that I could have attended, anyway… let’s hope “Broken Thread” is finally picked up and gets a release date. So far, next to nothing is known about it except that Andrea plays a mysterious woman called Lily who haunts an Indian man who is having some “spiritual crisis” (the film company’s words, not mine).

It’s actually a bit mad - there are months and months with no Corrs news at all, and then all of a sudden, everything happens at once:

Reports have appeared in Irish newspaperstabloids announcing that Andrea Corr of the Corrs is going on a tour to promote her solo album called “Present”, which is tentatively scheduled for release sometime early 2007. And I don’t care :(.

Whoa! I’m gone for a measly three weeks and all of a sudden Caroline is pregnant yet again (apparently very intent on making ‘The Corrs 2.0′ happen in the not too distant future with child #3 :P) and Andrea promotes her solo album by doing strange things with her hair:
